Because I don’t.
I believe stories deserve more time than the world usually gives them.
There are already enough explosions.
Enough chases.
Enough noise.
What interests me
is everything that happens before someone reaches for the trigger…

and everything that remains after the silence returns.

Why I Write
I don’t write because I know what happened.
I write because I want to understand why it happened.
Most mysteries are solved by finding answers.
The stories I enjoy most begin after the answers have already been found.

Some stories wait years before they are ready to be written.

The Quiet Parts
Every writer can describe the explosion.
I’m interested in the minute before it.
The hesitation.
The thought nobody heard.
The taxi ride home.
The conversation that changes everything without anyone realizing it.

Every Character Lies
Usually to someone else.
Sometimes to themselves.
The interesting part is not discovering the lie.
It is discovering why they needed it.

The first draft usually knows more than the writer does.

The Reader
I don’t expect you to agree with me.
I only hope you stay curious long enough to finish the conversation.

Questions
A good story doesn’t answer every question.
It changes the questions you ask.

Silence
Silence isn’t the absence of dialogue.
Sometimes silence is the loudest thing in the room.

Sometimes deleting one sentence reveals the real story.
